YOUR STAY AT MARCHESA

TOURIST TAX AND PASSPORT INFORMATION

We are required by law to in relation to each member of your party to request your passport and payment of the daily tourist tax at the time of your check-in. If you do not have your passport, we reserve the right not to honour your reservation and to refuse entry to Palazzo Polignac to anyone who is unable to provide this information.

HOUSE RULES FOR YOUR STAY

During your stay, we ask that you comply with the following House Rules:

Noise
All guests are asked to respect our other guests and nearby residents when in their room, hallways, any other premises of Palazzo Polignac or while in the surrounding area.

Guests under 18:
Please note that all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults during their stay. We reserve the right to refuse entry to Palazzo Polignac to anyone who is under the age of 18, unless children of friends and family.

Smoking
No smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere in the palazzo. We reserve the right to ask you a reasonable fee in respect of specialist cleaning in the event we suspect smoking has taken place in your room(s) during your stay. We also reserve the right to terminate the remainder of your stay in the event that we find you have failed to comply with our smoking policy.

Candles
The biggest danger for historical monuments in Venice is the danger of fire. Therefore we kindly ask you not to use real candles.

Piano
Palazzo Polignac is known to be a house of music and art. We have an historical piano in the Marchesa apartment but would kindly ask you not to use this at any time. If you or any of your party are a professional pianist you may ask us for permission in advance and agree on the playing hours which will respect the other residents in the building.

Elevator
Palazzo Polignac has a historical, well maintained lift to the 3rd floor and it is sometimes available for our elderly guests or on request to go to other floors. The doors of the elevator should be closed properly before leaving and should not be touched before the elevator arrives to a full stop. We don’t take responsibility of guests who don’t follow these rules

Animals & Pets
No animals will be allowed in Palazzo Polignac .

Accident or Injury
Guests must report any accident or injury they or their guests may have whilst on the premises immediately to the management and in any event, within 24 hours of the incident. This information is needed in order to comply with health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.

Inappropriate Behaviour
We kindly ask that you respect our other guests and refrain from any improper, violent or abusive behaviour and any illegal conduct at all times during your stay. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises and cancel the remainder of your stay in the event that you fail to respect this policy.

Damage
We kindly ask that all guests respect our rooms and facilities. In the event that there is any damage to the room(s) during your stay or if any items are missing from your room(s) upon your departure, we reserve the right to charge it from your security deposit. We may request further re-imbursement for loss or damage exceeding this amount as required

Press
We have a strict privacy policy at Palazzo Polignac. Guests will be held accountable if they disclose or identify any other members or guests, decorations and spaces of the first or second piano nobile, as well as anyone else who is in Palazzo Polignac in any press or social media including Facebook,Twitter, Instagram and on personal blogs. Similarly, guests must refrain from identifying or describing any private hire or member event occurring at Palazzo Polignac. Palazzo Polignac rooms, decorations, water gate entrances etc cannot be used for wedding shootings or any professional shooting unless by prior agreement

Palazzo Polignac events
Palazzo Polignac reserves all rights to accept event bookings anytime of the year and may occasionally host wedding parties or other events on its premises. The management will advise in advance if there is a function planned during your stay. In the case of an event being booked after your own reservation has been made, and if this is a problem, we may in certain circumstances allow a change or cancellation to your booking.

Damage & loss

Palazzo Polignac is a safe, private home. However, since the risk of theft, damage or loss of our guests’ personal possessions cannot be eliminated entirely we strongly advise you against bringing valuable items such as jewellery or large amounts of cash. The apartment is equipped with a safe for the storage of personal items. We shall not be liable to any guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by our guests or to their property, and as a consequence of their negligence. All guest shall be responsible for closing the main entrance doors properly, closing the elevator doors if they have direct access to their apartment and not letting people that they don’t know enter the building or the apartment. However, this does not exclude or limit in any way our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and which includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors) and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Keys have to be returned to the management and for any missing keys 50 € will be charged .

We shall not be liable to any guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by our guests or to their property. However, this does not exclude or limit in any way our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and which includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors) and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
