This magnificent second piano nobile apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and important palaces on the Grand Canal, in Dorsoduro close to the Accademia bridge
The spectacular grand salon can seat up to 18 for dinner and has a wonderful balcony, with superb views of the Grand Canal
The Palazzo has been recently restored and great care has been taken to preserve and enhance the original features of the eighteenth century interior, including the exquisite Rococo and Neo-Classical stucco-work depicting scenes from classical mythology.
The apartment has two main large salons, a further private dining room, six double bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a main galley kitchen plus second smaller kitchen. There is a further bedroom accessible from the main apartment, ideal accommodation for a nanny or au pair.
All six bedrooms have double beds (one is a French double and 2 can be also twin beds), while the seven bathrooms (all fully modernised and elegant) are composed of 2 bathrooms with shower and bathtub, 1 bathroom with bathtub, 2 bathrooms with bathtub with shower attachment and 2 bathrooms with shower.
In addition to wonderful paintings, the piano nobile is furnished with several important pieces including a pair of sofas much admired (and sat upon) by Wagner during his visits to the palazzo in the 19th century.
Another highlight is a magnificent canopied bed acquired some years ago from the collection of the late Charlie de Beistegui, the flamboyant designer and collector who owned the nearby Palazzo Labia and who is still remembered for a masked ball he gave there in 1951. Le Bal Oriental, as Beistegui called his event, soon came to be known as the ‘party of the century’, a welcome highlight in the comparatively austere post-war years in Venice.
This is one of the most authentic and beautiful properties available to let in Venice. There is private water gate access.
Please note that the mezzanine bedroom can only be accessed via the Baldacchino bedroom.
The apartment can be let with 4 bedrooms only – more information on request
Please note that this property cannot be used for any events receptions or parties unless by separate request. Private dinners for up to 18 persons can be arranged in advance and on request.
Piano use only by special request
Please note that occasionally parties or receptions may be held in other parts of the palazzo and will be advised in advance.

Ann-Marie’s comment: This is a divine Grand Canal property in one of the most important palazzos in Venice, where relaxed Venetian style living abounds. Family owned and a complete dream.
